Details

Training relevant staff to work safely at heights is a key component of safe systems of work. Working at heights means working where there is a risk of falling from one level to another. It is a high-risk activity and a leading cause for death and serious injury.

Therefore, competency is essential for personnel who may be required to work on top of tanks or structures, scaffolding, elevated work platforms, near an edge or opening they could fall from or off a ladder (for example).

Delivery

This two-day course takes participants through the theory and knowledge related to two of the core units from the Certificate IV in Leadership and Management.  Available as professional learning with a certificate of attendance or enrolment in two nationally recognised units with additional workplace assessment tasks required.

Units of Competence

  • BSBLDR413 Lead effective workplace relationships
  • BSBXTW401 Lead and facilitate a team

Participants attend two days of interactive face to face classroom training.

For those wishing to achieve the nationally recognised units, the assessment tasks require completing and recording activities back in the workplace within three months. The assessment work is structured so that participants apply the strategies they have learned during class to ensure the effectiveness and productivity of their "real world" team.

CTS assessors support participants throughout the process with workplace visits and one to one coaching via email, skype, phone or face to face by appointment at our head office.
